Santa Claus is coming to St. Marys this Friday, November 25 for the Kinsmen's traditional evening parade!
Volunteers will begin closing parking stalls on Queen St. between Water St. and Peel St. at 4:00 p.m. so that all stalls will be empty by the start of the parade.
The parade will leave the Pyramid Recreation Centre at 7:00 p.m., and follow its familiar route up James Street, west on Queen Street through the downtown, then south on Water Street, where it will end. The Kinsmen ask that you make sure to pre-register your entry prior to Friday night at https://stmaryskinsmen.com/ They also ask people to not dismantle their floats in the Canadian Tire parking lot. Please dismantle your floats back at the arena parking lot. Â
The St. Marys Kinette "Elves" and the St. Marys Kinsmen "Santa's Helpers" look forward to seeing you Friday night at the Kinsmen Santa Claus Parade. The Kinette Elves will be along the parade route with the "Holiday Selfie Frames" for you to capture a holiday picture, along with Santa's Helpers who will be collecting non-perishable food donations for the St. Marys Food Bank. Please consider bringing a food item for our local food bank. We look forward to seeing you Friday evening. We encourage you to tag us in any holiday parade route pictures!
Also for the first time DCVI will have a marching band in the parade under the direction of music teacher Donna Mitchell.
Santa will not stop at Milt Dunnell Field this year, but residents and visitors are encouraged to view the WinterLights display following the parade and throughout the festive season.
The display will be lit each evening between 5:00 and 11:00 p.m. until January 1, 2023. Those who would like to donate to the display can do so at Waving Santa or through our online form: www.townofstmarys.com/winterlights.
