Starting Monday, October 3rd, St. Marys Radio is bringing you the 2022 Council Candidates Interview Series where you will hear from the candidates themselves about why they're running and why you should vote for them.
Eight of the nine individuals seeking a spot in the next term of Council will be interviewed to discuss their candidacy and what makes them worthy of your vote. Unfortunately, Lorraine Heinbuch was unable to participate in this series due to a scheduling conflict but you can look forward to reading her answers as part of the Independent Newspaper's Council questions.
St. Marys Radio's candidate interview series is a project that compliments the Independent's written question-and-answer edition coming out ahead of the 2022 municipal election. In the Independent, you'll be able to read about specific issue-based responses from the candidates, while St. Marys Radio will look to shine a personal light on the people running for local office.
The candidates will be asked about why they want to be a Town Councillor, their vision for the next few years, and why you should vote for them.
The interviews will air weekdays at 12:00 and 6:00 p.m. at stmarysradio.com. They will air in alphabetical order based on last names and each day will feature a different candidate. After all of the interviews air on St. Marys Radio, you will be able to listen to all of them on-demand at stmarysradio.com right up until the election. Once again, the times for these interviews will be 12:00 and 6:00 p.m. and the full schedule for our interview series is listed below.
