Scheduled for release in 2021
Akoolfilm Company Inc. from St. Marys are back in production on two motion pictures scheduled for release in 2021. Producer and Director Allen Kool and Screenwriter Robin E. Crozier once again are engaging the community of St. Marys filming the opening sequences of the movie “Cry of Silence” at the Westover Inn in St. Marys.
“We were extremely happy to have the opportunity to film this scene at the Westover Inn. We would like to thank Stephen McCotter and Deanna Day for having us film in their beautiful Inn,” said Crozier.
“CRY OF SILENCE”
With principal photography scheduled for July, 2021 throughout St. Marys, it stars local singer-songwriter Diana Lynn Bryans. “I love performing and singing for others,” said Lynn Bryans. “It’s like oxygen to me. I’d like to think I’ve taken those heart-breaking moments of doors closing and used them to make me resilient and even more determined to reach my goals. I love singing, songwriting, and playing piano.”
Diana Lynn Bryans, with a Master’s Degree in Vocal Performance at Western University has performed in several operas including the Yorkshire Opera Workshop’s production of “Dido and Aeneas” in Saltburn, England. Additionally, she performed for several musical theatre productions including playing Liat in the University of Western Opera’s production of “South Pacific,” as well as Ellie Greenwich in “Leader of the Pack.”
“Working with AKOOLFILM COMPANY and having a chance to write an original song for the soundtrack is an awesome experience,” said Lynn Bryans.
“THE TASTE OF BLOOD”
A Horror/Thriller starring Lawrene Denkers, Rick Amsbury, Timothy Paul McCarthy and Amelia Phillips is scheduled to commence with principal photography to be held at the Westover Inn this coming February.
“We will be filming throughout the manor, annex and chapel as well as around the beautiful setting of the grounds, while the snow flies; it’s an ideal setting for this thriller,” explained Director of Photography David O’Keefe.
Once again we are working with local industry professionals and emerging talent. Producer and Director Allen Kool said, “We would like to take this opportunity to thank all of you, and to let you know that we will be following all the required COVID filming guidelines in order to help keep our community safe during these difficult times.”
