Perth—Wellington Member of Parliament, John Nater will serve as Shadow Minister for Rural Economic Development. “I am honoured to join the Shadow Cabinet under Erin O’Toole’s leadership,” said Nater. He added “Erin understands the concerns of Canadians living in communities like those in Perth Wellington and I am excited to serve with him as we present a modern Conservative Party to all Canadians.” Among Nater’s top priorities in his new portfolio is rural broadband. “Since I was first elected in 2015, I have consistently raised the issue of rural broadband in the House of Commons and directly with the current Liberal Government.
