Winners will be announced October 1st

Last week, the Stratford & District Chamber of Commerce released their annual list of area businesses nominated for Business Excellent Awards. Several St. Marys businesses made the list of nominees and will find out the results when they are announced on October 1st during an Awards Show for which detailed will be revealed soon.
St. Marys Healthcare Foundation was nominated in the Non-Profit/Charitable category, along with six other organizations including United Way Perth-Huron.
The Retail category’s eight nominees include four St. Marys businesses: Lyric Flowers, The Flower Shop and More, The Hitching Post (2019) Ltd., and Troyer’s Spices.
The Enterpreneur category also includes several names familiar in St. Marys, including Better Ways for Seniors Ltd., Jacobs Liquidation & Auction, Revive Holistick Health Centre, and Zombear Writes.
Quadro Communications Co-Operative Inc. is one of two businesses up for the Innovation Award, while Armstrong Paving and Materials Group Ltd. is nominated in the Commercial category.
In the Hospitality category, Little Caesars of St. Marys is one of nine nominees announced, while the Service category includes Harris-Greig Automotive and Trestle Strength + Fitness.
Sommers Motor Generator Sales Ltd., owned by St. Marys resident Chris McGregor, is up for the Excellence Award in the Manufacturing category.
