St. Marys DCVI Teacher Annette Wrigley was recently awarded the CAO (Coaches Association of Ontario) Coaching Excellence Award in recognition of her outstanding coaching and her unique contributions to sport through coaching. She was honoured at a breakfast ceremony on September 21 in Toronto. Since the ceremony (and related YouTube video was released), Annette reported hearing from a number of athletes she has coached over her 20 year career. “I feel very honoured to receive the award, but I feel like it really is an award representing all of the coaches within our conference” she said, “I have been an athlete in this conference and my school coach, Harold Burgin, as well as many other coaches, within Huron Perth are amazing mentors who I have learned so much from.” Congratulations Annette!
