Up to $2,500 available for projects benefiting the St. Marys community
The Stratford Perth Community Foundation is currently accepting grant applications for their St. Marys Smart & Caring Community Fund. The Community Foundation is looking for applicants that show how their program/project responds to their community’s priorities in an inclusive, collaborative and caring way.
“The St. Marys Smart & Caring Community Fund was established in 2016 with donations from the caring citizens of St. Marys,” says Heidi Culliton, Executive Director for the Community Foundation. “The donations we receive from individuals and businesses in St. Marys, unless otherwise designated, stay local ensuring local grants to vital community programs and services, today and always.”
Previous grant recipients from the St. Marys Smart & Caring Community Fund include the St. Marys Youth Centre for their Learning Healthy Cooking and Meal Preparation program that teaches youth how to budget and prepare healthy meals (2018) and the St. Marys Museum for their Early Settlers and Community Development Program that supported the museum’s outreach activities to visit schools and educate students about the region’s early settlers (2017).
Grant applications will be received by the Community Foundation until 3:00 p.m. on May 6th, 2019. Details and the online application form can be found at www.spccf.ca. For more information, contact Amanda Willie, Grants and Data Manager at amanda@spccf.ca or by calling 519-271-1503.
