On Monday, November 26, 2018 at 9:00 a.m. the Stratford Police Service received a call from the Royal Bank in St Marys regarding two males fighting outside. Several minutes later, police received a second call stating that one of the males was punching the other as he was attempting to get away and they were now at Tim Hortons. Police arrived and the males were separated. An investigation into the matter was conducted and a 42 year old male resident of St. Marys was charged with one count of assault as a result. The male was transported to Stratford Police Headquarters where he was later released on a Promise to Appear with a court date of January 2, 2019. The victim in this matter suffered minor injuries and did not require any medical assistance.
