Dunny’s Atoms, HBC Peewees and Frayne Bantams taking part this weekend

St. Marys Minor Hockey Association is again hosting an Additional-Entry boys hockey tournament.
The 24-team A-E event goes this weekend, Oct. 19-21, at the Pyramid Rec. Centre and teams are coming from as far away as Huntsville, Penetang and Pelham. The SMMHA will be represented by the Dunny’s Source for Sports Atoms, the Home Building Centre Peewees, and the Frayne Custom Cabinets Bantams.
Teams in the Atom Division are: Collingwood, Ingersoll, Kincardine, Listowel, Mitchell, Exeter South Huron, Tillsonburg and St. Marys.
In Pool ‘A’, Matt King’s Dunny’s Atoms play Mitchell at 8 a.m. on Friday, Kincardine at 4 p.m. on Friday, and Ingersoll at 10:15 a.m. on Saturday in their three round-robin games.
Teams in the Peewee Division are: Ayr, Dorchester, Glanbrook, Ilderton, Lambeth, Ingersoll, Penetang and St. Marys.
In Pool ‘A’, Sean Porter’s HBC Peewees play Ingersoll on Friday at 10 a.m., Penetang on Friday at 5 p.m., and Ilderton on Saturday at 12:15 p.m. in their three round-robin games.
Teams in the Bantam Division are: Ayr, BCH (Bayfield, Clinton, Hensall), Glanbrook, Huntsville, Ingersoll, Pelham, St. Thomas and St. Marys.
In Pool ‘A’, Dale Switzer’s Frayne Bantams play BCH on Friday at 12:30 p.m., Glanbrook on Friday at 7:30 p.m., and Ayr on Saturday at 2:45 p.m. in their three round-robin games.
Championship games Sunday
There are quarter-final and semi-final playoff games leading up to championship games in all three divisions.
The Atom championship game is slated for Sunday at 12:45 p.m. on the Rock rink. The Peewee championship game is scheduled for Sunday at 1 p.m. on the Blue rink, and the Bantam championship final goes Sunday at 2 p.m. on the Rock rink.
