Residing in Mitchell, Ontario, Mabb grew up listening to Country music and 50’s and 60’s rock n roll. Chris’s songwriting pays tribute to his country music heroes in his self-penned song, “Heaven is a Honky Tonk”. Mabb also shows his patriotic side with songs like “We Love Our Boys” and “Scars You Can’t See”. These songs pay tribute to our veterans of the First and Second World War and those suffering from PTSD (Post Traumatic Stress Disorder).
Mabb had a busy gig filled summer, playing old country covers as well as promoting and recording his new album, “Voodoo Dawn”.
“Being in the studio with Dustin Smith of Skyline Studios in Mitchell was a lot of fun. Dustin is very knowledgeable when it comes to music and today’s music industry. He’s always willing to answer questions and is just a dynamite person. I look forward to working with him again on my next album,” says Mabb.
Chris Mabb’s new album, VooDoo Dawn, had its first radio release on indiecountryradio.net. Today’s country 105.7FM in Leesville, Louisiana has also expressed interest in “Voodoo Dawn”. You can also find Chris’s music on Spotify and iTunes and YouTube.
Chris’s album release party is set for Friday, October 19th at the Customs House at 17 Water Street in St. Marys at 7:30pm. A few musical guests will accompany Mabb the night of his CD release party, such as Jenna Chappel of Mitchell and Sasha Boyd of St. Marys. Come on out and support some great local talent.
