It was a very interesting time in town last week with the “Murdoch Mysteries” crew filming in town. With the large number of people watching the proceedings in various parts of town, there is great anticipation to see what the end result will be for this production. Supposedly, the “St. Marys” show will air in December. In the meantime, Brett O’Reilly, Corporate Communications Manager, issued the following on behalf of the Town: “The Town of St. Marys would like to sincerely thank its residents for their patience during the filming of Murdoch Mysteries. We recognize that the road closures and parking restrictions were an inconvenience to many and would like to acknowledge the flexibility and cooperation of all who were impacted, especially our downtown business owners. The filming was an incredible opportunity to showcase St. Marys, and everyone embraced it with open arms. A special thank you to the generous property owners who donated their filming location fee to the St. Marys Museum. It’s act of kindness like these, and all of those shown to the film crew, Town employees and out-of-town visitors that truly make St. Marys the Town Worth Living (and filming) In!”.
