The London entry of Paul Noad, Matthew Awad, Brent Costigan and Peter Morrison captured the 2018 St. Marys Rotary Calub golf tournament last Thursday at St. Marys Golf and Country Club.
The Noad team, along with the local team of Stewart Grant, Chris Connolly, Clive Slade and Ian Boyd, both finished with 10-under-par scores of 62. The Noad foursome won the
tie-breaker based on retrogression.
Contests, hole-prize winners and tourney champs
The following are the various contests and hole-prize winners from this year’s Rotary Club tourney.
–Putting contest, sponsored by McDonald’s Independent Grocer – 4 X 18 holes, plus cart (The Fox Golf Club).
Two teams were tied, the Cement Plant team and Teahen team both had 55 points.
The deadlocked teams used a coin toss to determine the prize winner which was the Teahen foursome.

–Closest to pin on No. 9, sponsored by St. Marys Buick GMC – $40 gift card (Jackson’s Pharmacy) – Josh Dowling.
–Ladies longest drive on No. 13, sponsored by O’Grady’s Clothing & Accessories – $40 gift card

–Team Grant and Team Noad were tied for the low gross score – 10-under-par 62. Retrogression was used to break the tie.
