It took all 5 grandchildren and grandpa to plant the Oxford 4-H Volunteer Tribute Award for Grandma Katherine Grieve. An American Sycamore tree was planted at the Embro Pond on Friday June 8- a P.A. Day for Thames Valley District. Katherine’s nominators and Shonna Ward from Oxford 4-H Association enjoyed the morning planting. Katherine received the award back in November at the 4-H awards evening. She is very involved in the community as a 4-H Volunteer, director of the Embro and Zorra Agriculture Society, member of the Zorra Recreation Committee, Zorra Caledonian Society and the Oxford District Women’s Institute. Katherine was a Guider with Girl Guides of Canada and has been on committees for other organizations like the Zorra Skating Club as her children grew up.
