The Middlesex County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), the Thames Centre Fire Department, and the Middlesex-London Emergency Medical Services (EMS), attended the scene of a motor vehicle collision, which occurred around 1:25 p.m. on May 29, 2017, on Dorchester Road, north of Highway 401.
The collision was between a grey three wheeled motorcycle and a white transport truck.
The 77-year-old female passenger of the motorcycle was vital signs absent upon emergency responders arriving, and was pronounced dead at the scene. She has been identified as Margaret Alexander, from St. Marys, Ontario.
The 80-year-old male driver of the motorcycle was transported by ambulance to hospital. The driver of the transport truck was uninjured.
The OPP Technical Collision Investigators (TCI) attended the scene to assist with the investigation. As a result, roadways in the area were closed for approximately five hours.
