There was a long list of competitions to take part in and prizes to win at the 30th Annual Rotary Golf Tournament, held June 9 at the St. Marys Golf and Country Club to raise money for community projects.
The winners of the McDonald’s Independent Putting Contest, for a prize of four 18 hole passes plus a cart to the St. Marys Golf and Country Club were Tom Osgerby, Harald Kunze, John McIntosh and Terry Crisp.
The winner of the Longest Drive on Hole #6, sponsored by Sam’s Home Hardware, was Al McLean, who won two $25 gas coupons from GraHam Energy Ltd.
Closest to the pin on #9 was Ben Harlton, who won two $25 gas coupons from GraHam Energy Ltd., provided by sponsor SIG Insurance. Harlton’s team, also including Paul Noad, Alan McLean, and Rob Crowher, also won lowest score, with a team score of 53. For that honour, they won $100 each from JMRD National Bank Wealth Management.
The Low Score runners-up, with a net of 58, was the team of Derrick Long, Brody Long, Drew Sinden and Grayden Sinden. They won four 18 hole passes plus a cart at the Mitchell Golf and Country Club.
“Most Honest Golfers” were Grant Barton, Gary Cumming, Lucy Stephens, Keely Iles and Joep Heddes – they won 4 $30 car wash coupons, as sponsored by the Little Falls Car and Pet Wash.
The Veterinary Purchasing Ladies Longest Drive on #13 belonged to Bonnie Dietz, who won two $25 gas coupons from GraHam Energy.
The winner of the Longest Drive on Hole #15, sponsored by Ideal Supply, was Neil Dust, who won a Stanley Metal Tool Box.
Closest to the pin on #16 was Tom Dill, who won 10 session at Bob’s Fitness Studio, provided by St. Marys Ford.
Brian Burnet won the “wheelbarrow of wine” draw including 20 bottles of wine (10 red and 10 white), presented by Canadian Tire St. Marys.
