Last Friday morning, the Kinette Club of St. Marys donated the proceeds from their annual Easter Egg Hunt at Westover Inn to the St. Marys Food Bank. Donations from participants in the egg hunt plus proceeds from coffee sales contributed by Westover amounted to $518 for the food bank. Non-perishable food items donated at the event also wound up filling six shopping carts, organizers said. Pictured from left are Kinette Club of St. Marys president Terri Iredale, treasurer Sherri Barber and Easter Egg Hunt chair Joanna Campbell, presenting the cheque to Food Bank family and community services coordinator Pam McGirr and Salvation Army Major Pamela Stanger. According to McGirr, children’s lunch snacks, such as fruit cups, Jello, pudding cups and juice boxes, are currently in high demand at the food bank.
