“Pink in the Rink” tonight at Lincolns’ game

Fans encouraged to wear pink and support Canadian Cancer Society

By Stewart Grant

October is breast cancer awareness month.

The St. Marys Lincolns are hosting a “Pink in the Rink” night this evening at the PRC, with all fans in attendance encouraged to wear something pink to the game. The Lincolns will don special pink jerseys for tonight’s game versus the Chatham Maroons, and following the game these jerseys will be auctioned off with net proceeds donated towards the Canadian Cancer Society.

The presentation of the auctioned-off pink jerseys will be done by the players in the Shepherd Gourmet End Zone upstairs following the game. All fans are welcome to come up for the presentation and to enjoy some of the extra snacks on hand.

On the ice, the Lincolns hope to make it two wins in a row against the Maroons, whom they defeated 2-1 in Chatham on October 1st.
