St Marys train rolls into town

A group of both travelers and onlookers formed last Saturday morning to catch a glimpse of one of the VIA coaches bearing the St. Marys name as it stopped in town en route to Toronto. Special thanks to St. Marys resident Andrea Macko for requesting that VIA send this train car through our community.

A photo from the top of bridge captured the St Marys train’s arrival at the station. The gathered crowd at the station found amusement in that the St. Marys name was only on the opposite side of the car to where they were standing! However, those who saw the train the previous evening (as it headed towards London) would’ve seen the St. Marys name on the station side.
