Admission by donation
The second annual Multicultural Festival will be held on Saturday at Milt Dunnell Field. The Festival is sponsored by the Multicultural Association of Perth Huron. The event will include live music, ethnic food, face painting, a bouncy castle and many other activities. It will also be an opportunity to celebrate Canada 150. The live entertainment will include Thorn and Roses, Ekaya and Otto Morataya. Admission is by donation and the Festival goes from 1pm to 9pm. The association is led by Geza Wordofa and he told the Independent that his organization helps newcomers to Canada to settle into their new surroundings by helping them find accommodation and work. He said that the Association which has been going for ten years are looking for more volunteers to help them and if anyone is interested they can call him at 226-339-1547.
