Night deposit box targeted in Thorndale

On July 17, 2017, members of the Middlesex County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a mischief incident at the Bank of Montreal (BMO) located on King Street, Village of Thorndale.

The investigation has revealed that suspects attempted to remove the bank’s night deposit box by using a vehicle. Suspects were successful in removing the cover; however, the deposit box didn’t budge. The suspects left empty handed.

The OPP Elgin-Middlesex Community Street Crimes Unit (CSCU) is investigating.

“OPP investigators are aware of similar reported events in the City of London, event linkages will be considered” – says PC Max Gomez, Media Relations Officer, Middlesex County OPP.
