Stonetown Arts and St. Marys Station Gallery announce “At the Station”, a summer art show featuring 22 members of Stonetown Arts. “At the Station” will run from Friday, June 16 to Sunday, July 30, 2017.
The 12” x 12” pieces of work are in a variety of mediums, including acrylic, encaustic, watercolour, oil, wood, glass, fibre and collage. The artists were constrained to a 12” x 12” dimension but with medium, style and subject matter left to the artist, you are sure to be pleasantly surprised by the variety of work presented.
Stonetown Arts is best known for its very successful Art Show & Sale which, for the past six years, has run for two weekends at the end of November. This is the group’s first venture into a summer art show and are pleased to have been invited to the St. Marys Station Gallery by its curators, Reed Needles and Cameron Porteous.
“At the Station” opens to the public on Friday, June 16th, with an opening reception at St. Marys Station Gallery, 5 James St. N., St. Marys, from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. It offers another great opportunity to visit the Station Gallery and meet your local arts community.
“At the Station” continues for 6 weeks through to July 30th. Station Gallery hours are 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. daily, except Mondays. Artists will be on hand throughout the show on weekends to answer questions. And Reed Needles and Cameron Porteous from St. Marys Station Gallery will be on hand Tuesdays through Fridays.
