Counterfeit money in St. Marys

Perth County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) recently responded to four separate incidents of suspected counterfeit money being used at commercial businesses in the Town of St Marys.

The bank notes seized were all Canadian currency in $100 denominations.

All suspected counterfeit bank notes must be turned over to police. Timely reporting helps police and prosecutors identify suspects. Business owners should be suspicious if these large denomination bills are used for relatively small purchases.
