Saturday April 15th was the annual Easter Egg Hunt in Thorndale. It was run by the Optimist Club and sponsored by Canuck Custom Contracting and Thorndale Dental Centre. Before kids were allowed to run and hunt for their chocolate they “Welcome Mobbed” new residents. The new residents who agree to get mobbed got homemade baked goods, a card signed by neighbours and an I Love Thorndale wine glass. There was also a welcome song that all attendees got to learn. The Easter Egg Hunt was a popular event and luckily the rain held off until just about all the chocolate had been found. Die hard kids did continue to look as it started to sprinkle. As an extra incentive those that could find the plastic eggs with a funny face got a full size chocolate bunny. A fun time was had by all.
