After the snow on Friday the weather on Saturday was 16 degrees and sunny. If you were driving around Thorndale on Saturday afternoon you likely came across the OPP Ride program. The OPP were in town to educate residents of the Lock it or Lose it Crime Prevention Program. The tips to help prevent auto theft are simple – make sure the vehicle is locked, keys removed, windows closed and all valuables out of sight. Unfortunately in the past few months many Thorndale residents’ cars have been broken into. It is a problem not unique to Thorndale. Everyone is encouraged to look out for both your own and your neighbours’ property by reporting suspicious people or cars. If your car is broken into this is something that should be reported to the police.
