On Saturday April 1st you would have been a fool to miss the Lions’ Annual Social Gaming Night. Only 600 tickets were sold and with your ticket comes the chance to win. Every 25th ticket drawn wins $25, culminating with the last ticket winning $1,000. This year’s winner, Leanne Teston, donated $500 back to the Lions. While socializing with your neighbours there were lots of games to play including blackjack, golf putting and the ever popular horse races. Music, snacks, a bar and a midnight buffet meant there was no shortage of fun to be had. There was a draw for a wheelbarrow full of liquor, mystery box draws, and over 50 items in the raffle. The event was held at the Thorndale Community Centre which meant that most Thorndale residents could just walk home after their jubilant night.
