10-year-old philanthropist donates to “Someone I Know”

Charlotte Clinton donates $53.35 of savings to support our hospital

The St. Marys Memorial Hospital Foundation’s “Someone I Know” campaign has been consistently spurred on by generous giving from local businesses, organizations and families. Each donation serves as an inspiration for the next.

10-year-old Charlotte Clinton should inspire us all. For the past two years, Charlotte has been setting aside a little bit of money each week from her allowance, waiting for the right opportunity to donate to a good cause. At Christmas, she decided to take the $53.35 that she had been saving up and donate it to the “Someone I Know” campaign.

“I just wanted to donate to the hospital to keep it running,” said Charlotte.

Thanks to the actions of Charlotte and so many before her, the “Someone I Know” campaign is now within $500,000 of reaching its $5 million goal. Charlotte’s donation might just inspire others to help push the campaign across the finish line.
