Town of St. Marys seeking input on communications practices

Survey data will be used to develop a corporate communications strategy

The Town of St. Marys is reviewing how it can best communicate information to residents and businesses, and will be seeking community input through an online survey running from January 10 to 31, 2017.

The survey will be accessible through the Town’s website ( and should take no longer than 10 minutes to complete. Participants will be asked to offer their input on the Town’s current communications practices, their overall preferences and what types of communications are the most useful to them.

Printed surveys will also be available from January 10 to 31 at St. Marys Town Hall (175 Queen Street East), the Pyramid Recreation Centre (317 James Street South) and the Municipal Operations Centre (408 James Street South). All participants who complete the survey will be entered in a random draw to win a $50 pre-paid Visa card. The draw will be completed and winners announced on Friday, February 3, 2017.

The results of the survey, as well as additional research, interviews and analysis of current communications and perceptions will all contribute to the development of an end plan that will help to guide the Town’s ongoing communication efforts.
