Who owns the Lincolns? You do!

Community invited to Members Meeting on Monday

By Stewart Grant

“Who owns the Lincolns?” I was asked this question a couple different times this week, therefore I have to assume that there are many people in town who have the same question. The answer is: you own the Lincolns. The St. Marys Lincolns have been a community-owned organization since its inception sixty years ago. For the nominal annual fee of $25.00, local citizens can become official members of our Hockey Club. Members in good standing are entitled to one vote on each question arising at any special or general meeting of the members, and can therefore participate in shaping the team’s future. One such general meeting of the St. Marys Lincolns is coming up this Monday, December 12th, and all current and prospective members of the Hockey Club are invited to attend. Held at 7:00 pm sharp at the PRC’s End Zone, the meeting agenda will include updates from various team committees and a review of the club’s finances. The meetings typically last about 90 minutes long.
