Perth County Harvest Gala held Nov. 19

By Dan Rankin

Perth County Federation of Agriculture’s Second Annual Harvest Gala was held last Saturday at the Stratford Rotary Complex. According to the organizing committee, almost 300 tickets were sold for the event, up from last year. Cheese snacked on by those in attendance before dinner was provided by Stonetown Artisan Cheese, which had its recently-won ribbons from the Royal Winter Fair on display. Attendees enjoyed a dinner comprised of Ontario-produced agricultural products including butternut squash soup, a variety of salads and pasta, roasted mini potatoes, stuffed roast pork loin, pecan crusted chicken, and a selection of pies and cakes.
