The Job Action Centre has found a home at 108 Queen Street East in downtown St. Marys. Opening in December, the Centre will support more than 200 employees who will lose their jobs when the Kraft-Heinz plant ceases operations. The Centre will provide assistance with job search and resume writing, as well as information about Employment Insurance and Canada pension, counselling, and other employment services.
Employees can drop by starting Dec.r 1, Mondays to Thursdays from 8:30 am to 4:30 pm.
A Grand Opening is scheduled for January 2017.
Employees are being informed through newsletters and other communications so they may begin to take advantage of the service. The Centre can be contacted at 519-284-3535.
