Town hires new Fire Prevention Officer

Town CAO Brent Kittmer says he is happy to announce that Tammy DeGraw has accepted the position of Fire Prevention Officer for the Town on a part-time basis.

Tammy comes to the Town with over 5 years of experience working as a Fire Prevention Officer and Volunteer Firefighter with the Dutton Dunwich Fire Department. She has devoted much time and effort in attaining certifications from the Ontario Fire College in Fire Inspections, Investigations and Public Information/Education. Tammy has also worked alongside the Ontario Fire Marshal’s office to conduct fire scene investigations.

She is currently pursuing more education in the fire services field as well as increasing her knowledge of the Ontario Building Code.

Her first day will be Monday, Oct. 17.
