The St. Marys Memorial Hospital Foundation’s Brightest Night celebration on Friday night indeed lived up to its name, with more than 200 people gathering on the Grand Trunk Trail and trestle bridge in picture-perfect weather. The first-ever event was to celebrate the foundation’s capital campaign reaching $4 million of its $5 million goal, and to recognize all donors. Guests enjoyed beverages, appetizers and a toast to donors and continued campaign success at sunset. The foundation’s next event is its 23rd annual Golf Tournament, teeing off on Thursday, July 14 at St. Marys Golf and Country Club. Spaces are filling up fast, but teams of four, as well as individual players, can register at www.someoneiknow.ca or by calling 519-284-1332, ext. 3450.
