Brett O’Reilly started beginning of June
The Town of St. Marys has hired a new Corporate Communications and Events Manager, Brett O’reilly who started earlier this month. She is a long-time Perth County resident having lived in Mitchell as a child before moving to Kinkora. O’Reilly graduated with a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Guelph as an English major, and a Anthropology minor, and then went on to complete the Public Relations Post-graduate program at Humber College in Toronto.
She started her career as a Marketing and Communications intern with the Town of Milton, and worked there for three and a half years, eventually becoming the Corporate Communications Specialist and Executive Assistant to the Mayor and CAO
“I was fortunate to have amazing experiences in Milton, including a chance to meet Rick Mercer and Chris Hadfield, as well as coordinating communications for the Toronto 2015 Pan Am and Parapan Am Games, of which Milton was a host municipality,” O’Reilly said. “I even got to be in the opening ceremonies with Cirque du Soleil!”
Following Milton, she worked as a Communication Officer for the County of Oxford and was there until she came to the Town of St. Marys
“I’m extremely excited to be working for the Town of St. Marys and look forward to engaging with the community“, O’Reilly said.
