Event: Home Run Derby & Celebrity Slo-Pitch Game

Time: 6:00 pm – Home Run Derby – Team Canada Baseball, Team Canada Fastball and Team Canada Slo-Pitch players taking part

7:00 pm – Celebrity Slo-Pitch Game – Team Hentgen vs. Team Martinez

Celebrities scheduled to appear at the game include 2016 inductees Pat Hentgen, Dennis Martinez, Howard Starkman and Wayne Norton, as well as past inductees Fergie Jenkins (1987), Steve Rogers (2005) and 2004 inductee Jim McKean who will umpire. Ex-big leaguers Jeff Francis, Chris Robinson, Paul Spoljaric, John Upham and Billy Atkinson will also participate, as well as long-time professional player Brock Kjeldgaard, Canadian national women’s team star Ashley Stephenson, former NHLer Mark Bell and Special Olympian Jesse Clifford. Media members scheduled to play are Caroline Cameron, Jackie Redmond, Richard Griffin, Alexis Brudnicki, Sarah Burke, Mike Stubbs, Brent Lale, Frank Fanning, Scott Kitching, Matt Brickman, Chris Parsons, Josh Boyce, Tony Frangis, Sandy Woodcock, Matt Weaver, Greg Mercer, Rob Daniels, Darryl Law, Brad Moore, Dan Rankin and Brady Kingsbury. Recording artist and Expos Nation member Annakin Slayd will also be present.

Friday, June 17

Event: 20th Annual Celebrity Golf Classic and Banquet – Lead sponsor TD Bank

Time: Registration at 10:00 am. Tee-off at 11:00 am. Banquet starts at 5:00 pm.

Location: St. Marys Golf and Country Club, 769 Queen Street East, St. Marys, Ont. Banquet will be held on Hall of Fame grounds, 386 Church Street South.

Cost: $1,500 per foursome or $300 per individual player. You can also purchase tickets to the banquet only for $75 each. Doors open for the banquet at 5 p.m. To register, please call 519-284-1838 or e-mail

The registration fee includes 18 holes of golf, a continental breakfast, lunch, a supper banquet, hole sponsorship, a gift bag and the opportunity to golf with a celebrity. Individuals (who pay $300) will enjoy all the same perks, with the exception of the hole sponsorship.

Ex-big leaguers Duane Ward, Billy Atkinson, Larry Landreth, John Upham, Paul Spoljaric and Darrin Fletcher will also being teeing it up, along with former NHLer Mark Bell. Long-time professional outfielder and national team member Brock Kjeldgaard will also be participating.

Saturday, June 18

Event: Baseball Family Street Festival

Time: 9:00 am to noon

Location: Water Street (downtown St. Marys)

Cost: Free

This event will feature a DJ, Toronto Blue Jays mascot Ace, as well as inflatables, book signings, food booths, face painters and balloon animals. There will also be appearances by Blue Jays alumni. Check the Hall’s website ( for more details as they become available.

Event: Induction ceremony for Pat Hentgen, Dennis Martinez, Wayne Norton, Howard Starkman, Tony Kubek (unable to attend) and William Shuttleworth. It will be emceed by Sportsnet’s Mike Wilner.

Time: 1:00 pm

Location: Hall of Fame grounds, 386 Church Street South

Cost: Free.

The Hall of Fame will be running a barbecue, paid museum tours and a silent auction on site. Baseball games will also be played on the diamonds.

Celebrities will be signing autographs at approximately 3:30 pm. The cost is $10 for Canadian Baseball Hall of Fame members and $15 for non-members per trip through the autograph line.

Please note that autographs are limited to one item per person per inductee/special guest. Autographs will be signed on a first come first serve basis. Hall of Fame staff reserves the right to cut the autograph line at any time. Autographs are not guaranteed.
