Letters to the Editor

Dear Editor,

St. Marys Community Players production of “The Importance of Being Earnest” was greatly appreciated by large audiences who frequently applauded (even the choreographed set changes) and gave many standing ovations.

We wish to thank our talented actors and behind the scenes crew for making this a production we are proud of.

We also want to recognize the contribution of a variety of community support including: our municipal council, administration and staff; the 60 program advertisers; the 25 sponsors; St. Marys United Church; Landon Hoare; The Flower Shop and More; Shawn Harvey; Christin Bossenberry; Fern Pridham and the SMCP board; Patterson Grains, Bill Mustard, Bruce Barns; RVS Exhibition Draperies; The Journal Argus and The Independent Newspapers for news coverage; and the service groups for intermission treats.

Working together, we help SMCP to continue growing professionalism in its productions.

Be on the lookout for our next show, “Steel Magnolias”, running the last weekend in October and the first weekend in November. It’s a comedy which will bring tears to your eyes

Thank you,

Gary Austin & Gretchen Rozek

The following letter was sent to Scott Crawford at the Hall of Fame.

With this letter, I would like to thank you again for your warm welcome at the Canadian Baseball Hall Of Fame Museum at the end of April.

Everyone was pleased to return again at your place since our great experience from last year.

This year we stayed at the Stone Willow Inn, a great place to stay, and ate at different restaurants like Wildstone and Sunset Diner in St.Marys. We love what people have done to make St.Marys very nice and all the people were great with us.

We travel with our ball clubs at Baseball CRM each year. This year, we’ve been in Connecticut, New York, Orlando, Miami, Toronto and St.Marys!

Every player and coaches (more than 50 people) have been charmed by your city. We even used your grocery store for three meals!

The visit to your great baseball fields and the museum was outstanding again for the players and we look forward to see you next year or maybe as soon as the fall.

Thanks a lot for your hospitality and keep up the good work!

Sincerely,

Yan St-Pierre
