The Thames Centre Community Choir invites you to an evening of fine country music and excellent food on Tuesday, June 14 at the Thorndale Community Centre. Those that enjoyed Broadway Meets Country Kitchen (June 2014) and the Valentine High Tea (February 2016), won’t want to miss this upcoming event, the Thorndale Country Roadhouse. The evening will feature the choral arrangements of country music composers such as Willie Nelson, Hank Williams, Carl Perkins and others along with favourite songs of performers such as Patsy Cline and Johnny Cash. Guest performers Donny Bentum, Melanie Sorensen, and Guy Melanson, will add their special talents to the evening. The sumptuous dinner buffet will include soup, salads, fried chicken, barbecued ribs, Mexican meatballs, and baked beans. For dessert, there will be a selection of delicious homemade pies and cakes. All of the food for this event will be home-cooked and made, as much as possible, from locally-sourced ingredients. Wine and beer will be available at the cash bar. Doors open at 6:00 pm and Dinner is served at 6:30 pm. Tickets, at $30 each, are available from choir members and also from Cathy at 519-461-1679.
