The Optimist Club of Downie and the Perth County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) are hosting their annual Bike Rodeo and Safety Day on Saturday May 28, from 10:00 am until noon at the St. Marys Pyramid Centre (317 James St. S.).

This event is fun and educational for the entire family. Young cyclists will learn safety tips and be taught the rules of the road. They will also be able to show off their skills by making their way through a fun and challenging course. Free hot dogs, as well as drinks and snacks will be provided. There will be draws to win new bikes and other prizes.

Participants will need a bicycle, and are required to bring and wear a bicycle helmet in order to participate.

This is a “rain or shine” event that will take place at the Pyramid Centre’s west parking lot. In the event of rain, the fun will move indoors onto the arena floor.
