The neighbours of the Wye Creek subdivision in Thorndale got together on Friday, May 20 for their annual fireworks display. This is the third year for what has become an annual tradition with Derek and Arden McClean hosting all the neighbours in their yard for a social gathering topped off with an excellent pyrotechnics display. The neighbours chip in for the cost of the fireworks and Christin Elliott-Ebert takes the orders and arranges for pizza to be delivered for supper. It was a chance to see old neighbours and new faces on the first long weekend of the summer. The weather was spectacular for the event and there were lots of glow in the dark bracelets for the kids.
